Automatic door opening system in operation for the first time

The first automated shop using the automatic door opening module directly integrated into our B.O.S.S. Enterprise ERP system has been opened in Lednice. The shop is thus completely controlled by one system and no external subsystems need to be integrated for night mode operation. This gives the operator a complete overview of the store's operations, including tools for analyzing consumer behavior. As the door opening module is a direct part of the B.O.S.S. Enterprise system, which controls the entire branch, it is possible to evaluate specific events (entering the store, starting payment, completing payment, leaving the store) in any dependencies, e.g. linking to the receipt or customer system.

The door opening module

An IP reader is installed at the entrance door, which reads the QR code generated by the ČSOB DoKapsy mobile application. Above the reader, an informative board was placed showing the status of the store - open or closed. This board is also used in automated stores that are open around the clock, but in exceptional situations the store is temporarily closed, for example during inventory or power outages.

The door opening itself is controlled by an IP controller, which has eight inputs, eight outputs (depending on configuration) and can be duplicated. The input/output controller also controls the information sign, monitors the shop's power supply, verifies internet availability and transmits the impulse to the security system. In principle, it can be freely configured according to the customer's wishes. P.V.A. systems is the supplier of this hardware product, which, in addition to additional functionalities, completely controls the door opening. This module is one part of the B.O.S.S. Automatic concept and in the store this component becomes another peripheral of the branch.

We deliver this solution to our customers on a turnkey basis, including customer support. The automation of the opening of the entrance door is an essential precondition for the operation of automated stores. The first such stores were opened in city centres, but the trend is spreading more and more rapidly to village stores, where automated operation is a solution for maintaining local food shops.
